So you know, when I was a lot younger I used to think that anyone with talent was automatically awesome. But now that I'm older and wiser, I've realized something important:

Just because someone is good at something does NOT mean they are an awesome person.

Fortunately, I've also learned that the opposite is just as true:

Just because someone is NOT good at ANYTHING doesn't mean they AREN'T an awesome person.

I know these two facts seem obvious, but I think it's important to remember stuff like this. You know, I may not be the best artist here on DA, but at least I endeavor to not be a complete and utter jackhole. I think it would be nice if we could all remember these kinds of things, all the time. Sometimes I will come upon someone's DA gallery, and they'll have some pretty cool work. Pretty cool, maybe not the best EVER, but you know. Neat. And then I'll read their user info or journal entry or whatever, and I won't ever look at their page again because they're so utterly full of them self I can't even stand it. On the other hand, sometimes I'll come across a page that's kind of mediocre, but the artist seems so friendly and downright NICE that I won't be able to stop myself from favoriting some of their work just because I like them so much.

And anyway, there's still one more thing that's true:

Just because someone is good at something does not mean that they are CERTAIN to not be an awesome person.

There are lots of amazing artists on here who also seem to be totally awesome people, and those are the people who I would buy art from. Seriously, look at all of the really hugely amazing artists on here, and like 99.9 percent of them seem to be pretty awesome people. Some of them are even nice enough to make tutorials, to help other less awesome artists get better. Now that's classy.
